The University landscape in Canada has become increasingly competitive. I want to support your child in their desire to go to a school of their choice. Mainly specializing in student athletes, I will work with your family to identify athletic and academic goals, recruitment plans, and when the time comes, a final decision.
For many people, the university application experience combined with athletic recruitment can be hard to understand. I will work with you to help you understand the process and what you can do to set yourself up for future success. As a teacher, I will work with your child to get to know their dreams and passions. I can connect you with coaches, set up athlete profiles, and support decisions.
A teacher, coach, and former competitive Varsity level swimmer, Danica understands what student athletes need to succeed. Danica was a senior national level swimmer with 2 former Alberta Provincial records and senior national, age group, and westerns medals. She swam on the University of Calgary Varsity team from 2016-2018. She specialized in 50, 100, 200 breaststroke. She spent her high school and university career balancing training 7-11x a week while achieving academic excellence and leadership involvement in school and the community. Danica is in the Airdrie Elite Athlete Hall of Fame.
Since retiring from swimming in 2018 she has coached high level high school swim teams in Canada (2018-2022) and South Korea (2022-2026). Danica is currently a grade 7 teacher and has taught grades 6-9 since 2021. She has a passion for supporting teenagers to achieve their academic and athletic goals. She is an expert at connecting and mentoring students. Her teaching experience combined with her athletic and coaching experience make her the perfect support in your child’s transition to post secondary.

No one can ethically get your child into a university academic or Athletic program. I can however advise how to best represent yourself to coaches to achieve success.
